A Destination in Design: Passport Collection Luxor Series
Along the East Bank of the Nile near the ancient city of Thebes sits a sacred temple. At the Temple of Luxor, large crowds of soldiers, dancers, musicians, and high-ranking officials celebrated their belief in the divine conception and birth of their kings.
Magnificent papyrus-shaped columns and statues of the kings filled the temple. Carvings recording the history of the kings and their military victories covered the walls and columns.
This synopsis describes the ancient Egyptian temple city of Luxor – the design inspiration for the Top Knobs Passport Collection Luxor series.
Just as the Temple of Luxor is known for high social status and exceptional luxury, the Luxor Series captures its essence with handsome pulls and regal hardware. Click the image below to see the products in detail.
The Luxor Series is available in a mix of five finishes: Brushed Satin Nickel, Polished Chrome, Polished Nickel, Pewter Antique and Umbrio. The artistically shaped knobs come in three styles and the pulls are offered in three sizes.
Like all Top Knobs products, the Luxor series comes with a lifetime warranty and a protective sealed finish.

3” Pulls – The Key to Retrofitting or Updating Old Cabinets
Switching out cabinet hardware is a quick and easy way to change the look of a kitchen. In fact, it is a popular home improvement projects for homeowners.
Unfortunately, today’s larger hardware designs do not match the screw holes on older cabinets, making it more difficult to find new cabinet hardware that will integrate in the old cabinetry. Most kitchens made 15 to 20 years ago feature 3” center-to-center measurement between screw holes.

- Aspen

Plus, Top Knobs 3” Pulls are available in an assortment of finishes to match any décor, including: Tuscan Bronze, Antique Copper, Brushed Satin Nickel, Polished Nickel, Polished Chrome, Brushed Bronze, Patina Rouge, Oil Rubbed Bronze, German Bronze, Antique Pewter and Flat Black.

Selecting a style of cabinet hardware
If you are replacing kitchen knobs and/or pull handles on existing cabinets, it is helpful to know what style type hardware you are shopping for. Kitchen cabinet hardware is divided into three broad style categories: Traditional, Contemporary, and Transitional.
Traditional
Often known as “Old World” these are classic designs, often inspired by historical architectural and design features. Traditional style is the most popular category of cabinet knobs and pulls, because most kitchen designs are traditional.
Traditional collections from Top Knobs include the Normandy, Tuscany, Edwardian, Aspen, Britannia, and Bronze (oil rubbed) collections.
Contemporary
Contemporary designs feature sleek lines, sharp angles, minimalist features, and modern finishes such as brushed satin nickel, polished chrome, and stainless steel. The look of the kitchen is modern, sleek, and elegant.
The Contemporary collections available from Top Knobs are Sanctuary, Sanctuary II, Nouveau, Nouveau II, and Nouveau III.
Transitional
Transitional knobs and handle pulls are a blend of Traditional and Contemporary styles. These can be Traditional designs with Contemporary finishes, or Contemporary designs with Traditional finishes. The look can be quite striking.
Top Knobs Dakota, Asbury, Somerset I, and Somerset2 collections are considered Transitional looks.
